Seeing New Order on July 3rd, 2014 pretty damn awesome.
Seeing New Order with the people who got those songs stuck in my three-year-old head all those years ago, pretty damn awesome.
As music goes, I typically appreciate more than I worship. I like a lot of music, I love some of it and a bit of it is very special to me. I link music to people, moments, frames of mind and biased memories. This concert was so great for me on the level of loving New Order's music. But it was special for me because it stirred images from my earliest ages, from memories so foggy as to barely be called memories. Dormant sights, smells and feelings came back to the forefront.
I was never a big fan of the Final Five Cylons (err, four of the Five) achieving consciousness to "All Along the Watchtower". But it's a night like last that makes me kind of get that plot twist.
And it makes me kind of sound like I'm worshiping music.
